My Safeway Trip - Lots of Cheap General Mills Products + Lorax Deal

I am loving all of the fun stores to shop now that we are out of Texas and back in the land of grocery competition and coupon doubles! This was a really great week to shop at Safeway with LOTS of fun deals including a great $4 off 4 promotion and Lorax deal!

I spent 20 minutes at the customer service desk making sure I correctly understood all of the policies today since I had never shopped at Safeway before.  They were incredibly nice and answered all of my questions. Here in Colorado Springs, Safeway stores double all coupons up to .50 and they will also round any coupon  .51-.99 up to $1.  There are not limits on the amount of like coupons they will double.

Here is what I picked up:

2 Cinnamon Toast Crunch - $1.99 each
1 Apple Cinnamon Chex  - $1.99 
1 Honey Nut Chex - $1.99

Used (2) .50/1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch

=.49 each!

Used (4) .50/1 Cereal Treat Bars

use (2) .50/2 from the 6/24 SS
=.49 each
(If you don't have this coupon there is a .75/3 Printable.  Buy 6 and they will be .74 per box).

Buy 1 Kashi Bars - free w/movie

Use the free Cascadian Farms Cereal wyb the Lorax on Blu-Ray or Combo Pack (found at King Soopers which is a Kroger affiliate).
=$19.99 for all (Free item value over $17)
(I also purchased Sunmaid Raisins for $2.50 at Kmart this week so I can submit for the $3 Mail In Rebate).

Buy 4 Ragu Pasta Sauce w/mushrooms - B1G1 Free $1.49 (all other varieties are $2.49 each)
use (1) .50/2 Ragu from the 7/29 RP
=$1.98 for 4 or .50 each!
(You can not use a coupon on the item made free in Safeway BOGO so only 1 coupon).

Use the .50/2 Printable
=.50 each

Country Crock Butter Tubs - $1.99
Use the .50/1 from the 7/29 RP
=.99

I also bought celery, milk, eggs, OJ, and Smirnoff for a rebate that is no longer available.

My total out of pocket for everything was $60.42  for everything pictured and I'll get back $25 by mail for the rebate!  If I was not doing the rebate I would have not bought those and the OOP for this deal would be $44.44 which is awesome considering the movie is $19.99!
